01 Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Ultimate Fantasy Sports League platform ("UFSL," "we," "us," or "our") at ultimatefantasysports.net or any associated services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the platform.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and UFSL. Please read them carefully before creating an account or participating in any league.
02 Eligibility
You must meet all of the following requirements to use UFSL:
- You are at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater.
- You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
- You are not prohibited from using the platform under any applicable law.
- You are accessing the platform from a jurisdiction where fantasy sports platforms are permitted.
By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you satisfy all eligibility requirements above. UFSL reserves the right to terminate accounts where eligibility cannot be verified.
03 Accounts and Registration
To access the full functionality of UFSL you must register for an account. When registering, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
- Maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate.
- Choose a username that does not impersonate another person or entity and does not contain offensive or inappropriate content.
- Keep your password confidential and not share access to your account with any third party.
- Notify us immediately at the contact address below if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. UFSL will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain account security.
Each person may maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts to gain a competitive advantage is prohibited and may result in permanent bans across all associated accounts.
05 Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the platform in any manner that:
- Violates any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
- Involves collusion with other managers — including coordinating trades, waiver claims, or draft picks to manipulate league outcomes to benefit a third party.
- Uses automated tools, bots, scripts, or other means to interact with the platform in a way not intended by UFSL.
- Attempts to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, our servers, or any connected systems.
- Transmits unsolicited messages, spam, or any content that is harassing, abusive, or harmful to other users.
- Misrepresents your identity or affiliation with any person or organization.
- Interferes with the proper functioning of the platform or circumvents any security measures.
UFSL may investigate any suspected violation and take action at its sole discretion, including issuing warnings, suspending accounts, or permanently banning users.
06 User Content
You may submit content to the platform including league names, team names, usernames, and communications with other managers ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant UFSL a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, store, display, and reproduce that content solely to operate and improve the platform.
You represent and warrant that your User Content:
- Does not infringe any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.
- Is not defamatory, obscene, hateful, or otherwise objectionable.
- Does not contain malicious code, viruses, or harmful components.
UFSL reserves the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms without prior notice.
07 Intellectual Property
All content on the UFSL platform — including the logo, design, software, scoring algorithms, text, and graphics — is owned by or licensed to UFSL and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the platform for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:
- Copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any platform content without written permission.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the platform.
- Use UFSL trademarks, logos, or brand elements without prior written consent.
All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved by UFSL.
08 Privacy
Your use of the platform is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using UFSL you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
We collect only the information necessary to operate the platform, including your name, email address, username, and activity data. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
09 Disclaimers
The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
UFSL does not warrant that:
- The platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
- Scoring data sourced from third-party sports data providers will be accurate, complete, or timely.
- Any errors in scoring or standings will be corrected within a specific timeframe.
Real-world sports results are determined by third-party leagues and organizations entirely outside UFSL's control. UFSL is not responsible for cancellations, postponements, rule changes, or other events affecting the underlying sports that impact scoring outcomes.
10 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, UFSL and its operators, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the platform, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data or league progress.
- Errors or delays in scoring updates.
- Actions taken by other managers within a league.
- Platform downtime or unavailability during a scoring window.
In no event shall UFSL's total liability to you for all claims exceed the amount you have paid to UFSL in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is greater.
11 Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting us at the address below. Upon termination, your access to the platform and your league data will be removed subject to any retention obligations under applicable law.
UFSL may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if:
- You violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use policy.
- Your account has been inactive for more than 24 consecutive months.
- We are required to do so by law or regulatory authority.
- We discontinue the platform.
Termination does not limit any other rights or remedies UFSL may have at law or in equity.
12 Changes to These Terms
UFSL may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify registered managers by email or in-platform notice.
Your continued use of the platform after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the platform and close your account.
13 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the platform shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
